JOHN DEERE WATERLOO BOY N

JOHN DEERE WATERLOO BOY N

The Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company was founded in 1893 with John Froelich as the prime mover. The original intention was to sell Froelich's gasoline-powered tractor. When this was unsuccessful, the company focused on selling stationary engines. The company re-entered the tractor market with its Waterloo Boy tractor in 1913. Deere & Company acquired the company in 1918.

The Waterloo Boy, Model N, introduced in 1917, featured a two-speed transmission, but retained chain steering until later conversion to self-propelled steering. This Model N features the earlier short fuel tank brackets. Nice example of a Waterloo Boy with a professional restoration where no detail was overlooked. This tractor has been proudly displayed at the local museum in Prague, Oklahoma, USA, in a dry climate.
